Design and Display
The Pop 6 Go 4G just like other cheap phones comes with a premium plastic design that has a beautiful, sleek, and attractive look. Being an entry-level smartphone, you wouldn’t expect anything else than a teardrop notch cutout for the selfie camera. The bezels surrounding the screen are mid-sized and weren’t occupying the whole front panel.
The Tecno Pop 6 Go 4G power and volume buttons were integrated into the right corner. Meanwhile, on the left corner is a SIM /microSD card slot. Moving down to the bottom edge, there’s a micro-USB port and microphone while the 3.5mm headphone jack is located on top.
For viewing content with this device, there’s an average-sized 6.1-inch HD+ display with an IPS LCD panel. The screen is very colourful with sharp contrast which makes for a wonderful display for your watching of videos or photos, playing of games and doing other stuff. However, we won’t recommend this phone if a quality display is a priority for your smartphone.

Camera
Quality camera performance shouldn’t be your reason for buying the Pop 6 Go 4G as it disappoints especially in lowlight performance. However, it has a superior quality performance compared to the Pop 6 Go.
Meanwhile, the Tecno Pop 6 Go 4G comes with dual cameras at the back that is headed by a 5MP sensor alongside a LED flash. Upfront is another 5MP camera with a flashlight beside it for brighter night selfies and video calls in lowlight scenarios. This is a feature that’s lacking in most flagship phones and we’re happy to have it on the Pop 6 Go 4G.
When it comes to camera performance, the photos taken with the phone aren’t as sharp as those produced with Tecno Phantom X or Camon 18 Premier, but they’re acceptable for a cheap phone.
Performance and Software
The Tecno Pop 6 Go 4G is rumoured to come with a mediocre quad-core processor and a UniSoc chipset just like its predecessor. There’s no doubt this will limit the smooth running of the device when you play high-end games or open multiple apps at the same time.
As for storage, the phone should feature a single storage variant of 2GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage. There’s also an option for expansion of memory via an SD card slot up to 128GB.
The Tecno Pop 6 Go 4G operating system is based on the Android 11 Go Edition version alongside the HiOS version 7.5 overlay. This will introduce a lot of customisable options and tweaks to the phone which we love to have on a mid-range phone.

Battery Capacity
A 5000mAh battery powers the Pop 6 Go 4G which guarantees at least 24 hours of active status on medium use. However, with steady usage that involves connecting to WiFi, gaming, or browsing, the phone will manage to last up to 16 hours. Unfortunately, there’s no quick charging option but we expect to see it on next year’s model.

Tecno Pop 6 Go 4G: Price in Nigeria and Availability
The Tecno Pop 6 Go 4G is set to be released in Nigeria in May 2022 with sales starting in early June the same year. After release, the Pop 6 Go 4G will be available for purchase in both online and offline stores across Nigeria and beyond.
The Tecno Pop 6 Go 4G is expected to be on sale for ₦45,000 (roughly $75). This will put it on par with the iTel P38 which has similar specs.
