iTel Mobile is one of the brands in the Transsion Holding company that’s dedicated to providing the best entry-level phones to its users. There’s no doubt the company is improving in every area, offering the cheapest and most reliable phones money can buy. The iTel P38 is another proof of the company’s objectives towards developing handsets with better processing power, bigger battery, and more storage without many hikes in price.
The iTel P38 packs an average display size of 6.6-inch, alongside a dual set of rear cameras, runs on the Go Edition of the latest Android 12, and is powered by a massive 5000mAh battery. The phone is launched alongside a Pro model that has a bigger storage space and battery.

Design and Display
The iTel P38 has a smart design that’s stylishly built that it’ll be so hard to restrict the phone’s attractive aesthetics. On the back of the phone are vertical lines that’ll restrict fingerprints. Although the P38 has a plastic body instead of glass like most recent flagship phones, it’s still preferable to help keep the price low. Similar to most iTel phones, the P38 features a teardrop notch which is somehow outdated as most recent phones are now equipped with a smaller dot-hole notch.
Flipping through the rear panel of the phone you’ll be welcomed by a rectangular module that houses the phone’s rear camera. Besides the camera is a fingerprint reader that has a fast response and is equally reliable, although you can use the Face unlock ID as a secondary verification feature.
The iTel P38 is packed with the necessary phone ports connection which we’re not surprised to see as it’s a common feature in mid-range phones. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired earphone fans and a USB port for charging the device. On the right side of the phone are the perfectly positioned power button and volume rockers while on the left are the dual SIM card and SD card slots.
At 6.6-inch, the iTel P38 has the same display size as the A58 and they’re both among the biggest phones from the Transsion Holding company. It packs some amazing display qualities that are vivid and colourful enough to keep you going. With up to a 1B colour gamut, you’re ready to enjoy the highest viewing experience on the iTel P38 display.

Cameras
Although the iTel P38 is not primarily a camera device it does well in delivering perfect photos in well-lighted conditions. The 8MP selfie camera could be considered one of the best features of this smartphone as it takes a better shot than most smartphones within the same price range.
On the back, the phone has a 5MP camera with a dual-LED flash and autofocus to improve the photo quality. There’s no doubt iTel phones are still lacking behind when it comes to camera performance which we expect them to improve on in the next model.
Some of the features of the iTel P38 camera include AI Face Beauty, Bokeh effect, One-click share, and many others.

Performance and Software
The iTel chipset brings improvement to the game performance of the phone compared to its predecessors. There’s a 2GB of RAM with 32GB of built-in storage which you can choose to upgrade up to 128GB through SDcard.
When it comes to performance, the iTel P38 has an updated AI Power Master technologies that smartly learn the user’s activities and adjust the power consumption of the software to balance power.
The phone runs on Android 12 (Go Edition) which has some notable changes in the phone’s performance. The new software has an XHide privacy vault, socio turbo, and anti-theft alerts to help improve the user’s experience.

Battery Capacity and Charging
Unlike the A58, the iTel P38 comes with a bigger 5000mAh battery that’ll give you up to two days of active service if you’re an average user. The battery department is one of the best features of this phone which will make many iTel lovers go for it.
Interestingly, iTel is ready to give the fans what they deserve by integrating a 15W fast charging on the P38. This is the first iTel phone to have a fast charging feature and iTel claims that 10 minutes of charging can give close to 3 hours of runtime.
