Oppo A77 5G Review: Features, Specs, and Price in Nigeria

The new Oppo A77 5G is the revamped version of the A77 with interesting features including a 90Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, and up to 5GB RAM extension.

Lower mid-range phones are no longer the cheap lower-quality smartphones we used to know. Instead, they’re becoming more and more capable of competing with much-more expensive phones. Oppo has taken a bold step to challenge other manufacturers by releasing a 5G capable mid-range phone. They’ve named it the Oppo A77 5G which is a step up from the previous Oppo A57.

The Oppo A77 5G was released alongside the Oppo A96, with the same selling price, but the specs aren’t the same. Our major concern is the Oppo A77 5G which has impressed us with its outstanding abilities. So if you’re planning on getting this phone, there might be some information you need to know, and we’ve gathered them through this review.

Our review of the Oppo A77 5G covers every piece of information about the phone, from the design to everything it carries within. The IPS LCD looks to be a major setback for this phone. Even the 720p resolution is the least a smartphone of such price could offer, but you could let that pass as long as there’s enough refresh rate, and the Oppo A77 5G offers 90Hz.

As long as the mid-range category is concerned, competition is inevitable. Rivals like the Poco M4 5G and Motorola Moto G62 offers one of the best display we’ve seen in the category, but none could match the Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset in the Oppo A77 5G. So that’s enough reason to buy the phone if your primary concern is performance.

The Oppo A77 5G comes with two cameras on the rear consisting of a 48MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The lack of an ultra-wide lens or a telephoto lens hurts a little, but we can rely on the main camera which captures absolutely great shots. This feature will make photos look natural by adjusting the details, including the skin of the face and neck. Another interesting feature we found on the camera of the A77 5G is the ultra-clear 108MP Image feature. The Oppo A77 5G has proven to be very useful for taking photos, so if you’re the type that is fond of capturing images, getting the A77 5G device will save you a lot of cash without needing to get a flagship phone. Also, the quality of photo output is excellent, both the colors and contrast levels are accurate, even for the day and night photographs.

Unfortunately, you can only record videos at 1080p resolutions on both the 8MP selfie and 48MP rear camera. This will make content creators will miss the chance of recording 4k videos, but that’s the case with mid-range phones. At least, the 1080p still works excellently for video calls, so we have no problems with it.
